Greetings
Right before you start Victoria is not a person it is a country/central city where Clockwork is set.
In the lore of the book there was an event called The Great Changing. (This happened after the fail assassination attempt). The World is largely run by the British Empire modelled on the Victorian Ideals. So it was decreed by the Monarch that every country will change its name to a prominent leader. Therefore Britain became Victoria. Below is a list of countries that have name changes.
America- Washington
France- Louis
Russia- Romanoff
Scotland- Wallace
Italy- Julius
China- Quin
Japan- Lemochi
Now I know that isn't a complete list of all the countries in whole world. Well that because its a parallel universe so that's why. I dunno. I am pulling this out my ass and hoping that this whole thing helps me sell something I have put a lot of work into.
At the end of the day Im doing this mostly to get all the stuff out of my head. It's crowded in here.
